The Oracle (2013) is inspired by the world of histograms and bar-chart representations, often used in the world of finance.
The cost of the share prices of the five most influential bank institutions of the UK are recorded in real time and announced to the public by a singing choir of sopranos and tenors.

The emphatic singing of the shares aims to ironically mimic the blind faith that our society has come to put on data, numbers and the importance of financial markets, whose decisions play such a vital role for the global economy on a daily basis; the same erratic and unpredictable singing is also a visualization of how financial markets work; by extension it also represents traders, their decisions, their impressions, their unsettled dance of trust and faith.
