Masters and Slaves: Google
2019
LED, microcontrollers, extruded aluminum, electronics, financial data
175x13.5x60cm

The sculpture is modelled around the flashcrash that hit Google on the 22nd of April 2013.
The causes behind this flashcrash remain to nowadays unknown. The only known fact is that the flashcrash was linked to potential human error (the fat finger issue) and largely to the presence of multiple AI powered financial programs, trading on behalf of humans.
The sculpture features a video on the front, made by a piece of custom code, which arbitrarily rearranges the financial graphs of the crash.
